Nest

Step into the future of home discovery with Nest, a mobile app that makes house hunting feel like an adventure. Whether you're a realtor showcasing luxury estates or a dreamer looking for your perfect home, Nest offers a smooth, immersive experience that blends cutting-edge technology with elegance.

Features

Nest re-imagines the house-hunting process with a unique twist: scrolling through houses just like you would on TikTok, each video taking you on a tour of a home as if you were walking through the doors yourself.

• Video Tours: seamless vertical scrolling property videos, mimicking the viral TikTok format

• Picture Listings: photo galleries users can like or frown at

• Collection: save favorite listings to a personal wishlist

• User Profiles: a realtor or homeowner's personal gallery, circular video tour icons plus a grid photo display

• Filter and Search: refine by location, amenities, price range, or neighborhood features

Technical stack

Built with React Native and Expo, with a TikTok-inspired UI for video tours and Instagram-style photo posts, backed by a search and filtering system.

Where it stands

Still in active development: bug fixes, UI polish on the comment section and modals, and video/sound sync are ongoing. A testable build is available via Expo, though it isn't yet optimised for iOS.
